Fire Department Information
Any call for emergency should go to 9-1-1. The call is answered by the Hancock County Regional Communications Center (RCC) in Ellsworth and then dispatched to the appropriate agency.
The Winter Harbor Volunteer Fire Department provides fire suppression and rescue coverage. All outdoor burning requires a permit, which can be obtained (provided conditions are safe) from Maine.gov/burnpermits. Both Police and Fire Departments have a mutual aid agreement with Gouldsboro Police and Fire Departments.
